However be it any sport, only few people touch the heart of audiences making them their biggest admirers and followers. He has won many awards in his career span and has been honored with titles and victories as well. It won’t be wrong to say Victor Valdes is one among the best talents that we have witnessed.

Victor Valdes, a professional footballer was born on January 14, 1982.To start off with, he is a stupendous goalkeeper and has spent many years of his career playing for Barcelona in La Liga. In the 2002 UEFA Champions League, he made his first team debut against Legia Warszawa in the third qualifying round. Moving forward, the champion helped Barcelona win their first league title in the 2004-2005 season which is definitely worth a special mention. Valdes is considered as the best goalkeeper in the history of the Spanish league. He then went on to win the Zamora Trophy as the best goalkeeper in Spain that splendid season. He is one of the most adorned players and has been successful in years, becoming the first choice goalkeeper.

He has appeared for around 535 official games for the club and won over 21 major titles. Among which were six La Liga titles and three UEFA Champions League championships. The player has been successful in reaching the hearts of many and has gained a huge fan following. In the 2009 UEFA Champions League Final, Barcelona beat Manchester United where he made two saves to deny Cristiano Ronaldo. After two years, in 2010, he won his fourth title as Barcelona sealed the Spanish league title which was their second successive one.  Following, the next year in 2011, he played his 410th match with Barcelona where he equaled Andoni Zubizarreta’s record making yet another victory his name. Apart from all these, during the 2011–12 season, Valdes held the club record as a goalkeeper with maximum appearances in the league and in an official competition, breaking Andoni Zubizarreta’s records. Eventually he left Barcelona in July 2014 and joined Manchester United in January 2015. However he was set back in between due to his ligament injury but soon he started training with Manchester United in the month of October

Valdes made his first team debut against Arsenal and later, after a week he made his first start for the team relegating the opponents which was noteworthy. After sometime in the year 2016, it was announced by the Manchester United that Valdes will be loaned to Belgian club Standard Liège on a six-month deal. In the same year, he signed a two year deal on a free transfer with the Premier League fresher’s Middlesbrough. To talk about his international career, the fervent player made his international debut in the year 2010, earning around 20 international caps. He was also a part of Spanish squads where he won the 2010 FIFA World Cup and UEFA Euro 2012. He was among Spain’s 23 man squad for the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa in the year 2010. Later in the same year, Valdes started a friendly match with between the countries Spain and South Korea at Tivoli-Neu, Austria. And he was also a part of Spanish squad which won the 2010 FIFA World Cup and 2012 UEFA Euro.

Victor Valdes has been one of the prominent players and despite the next generation players taking positions, he remains one of the most loved and famed player to make his fans and team proud and gratified. He will continue to win hearts and earn many more victories to his name.
